- A Business Development Assistant supports the business development team in identifying opportunities, building relationships, and driving company growth.
- The role involves assisting in research, proposal preparation, client follow-up, and coordination of business development initiatives to help expand the organization’s market reach and revenue.
Responsibilities
- Assist in identifying and researching potential clients, markets, and business opportunities.
- Support the preparation of proposals, presentations, and bids for new business.
- Maintain and update client databases.
- Follow up on leads, inquiries, and client communications.
- Track and report on sales performance, market trends, and competitor activities.
- Collaborate with marketing, sales, and operations teams to support business growth strategies.
- Draft correspondence, contracts, and reports as needed.
- Support the development and implementation of strategic partnerships.
- Design, build and maintain the company's social media presence.
- Carry out any other duties as assigned by the Business Development manager.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or a related field.
- 1 – 2 years of experience in business development, sales, or client relations.
Required Skills and Competencies:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Good understanding of business development principles and sales processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM tools.
- Tech-savvy, social media management and digital communications skills
- Ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to work.
- Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
