- The Sales Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the sales processes, systems, and performance across all sales channels for the company’s range of baking products.
- This role ensures that sales teams are supported with efficient operational tools, data insights, and coordination between departments such as production, logistics, and marketing to achieve business objectives.
Responsibilities
Sales Planning & Performance Management:
- Support the development and execution of the company’s sales strategy to meet revenue and market share targets.
- Monitor sales performance by region, channel, and product line; prepare weekly and monthly performance reports.
- Track and analyze KPIs (volume growth, sales mix, coverage, returns) to drive continuous improvement.
Sales Operations & Process Optimization:
- Streamline and standardize sales processes to enhance efficiency and reduce bottlenecks.
- Coordinate order-to-delivery processes, ensuring customer satisfaction and timely fulfillment.
- Collaborate with production and supply chain teams to align inventory availability with market demand.
- Manage customer pricing structures, trade discounts, and promotional tracking.
Data Management & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate sales data in the CRM or ERP system and ensure data integrity across all channels.
- Generate analytical reports to support decision-making, forecasting, and business reviews.
- Identify market trends and customer behavior patterns to inform strategic initiatives.
Team Support & Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Serve as a liaison between the sales team, marketing, finance, and operations to ensure smooth communication and goal alignment.
- Support sales team onboarding, training, and tools optimization to improve productivity.
- Lead sales operations meetings to review performance metrics and discuss improvement areas.
Budgeting & Forecasting:
- Assist in developing sales budgets, forecasts, and targets.
- Track expenses related to sales promotions, trade marketing, and distribution activities.
- Provide insights on market conditions affecting pricing, margins, and profitability.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 – 8 years’ experience in sales operations, commercial management, or business analysis, preferably in FMCG or food manufacturing (baking industry experience is a plus).
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with proficiency in Excel, Power BI, or CRM/ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Microsoft Dynamics).
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
Salary
N800,000 Monthly.
