Job Description
- An IGCSE Certified Math Teacher for middle and high schools is responsible for delivering the Cambridge International Mathematics curriculum, preparing students for IGCSE exams, and fostering analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- The IGCSE Math Teacher will teach mathematics to students in middle and high school, following the Cambridge IGCSE syllabus.
- The role involves lesson planning, classroom instruction, student assessment, and exam preparation.
- The teacher is expected to create a stimulating learning environment that supports academic excellence and personal growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality lessons aligned with the IGCSE Mathematics curriculum.
- Prepare engaging lesson plans tailored to diverse learning styles.
- Assess student performance through tests, assignments, and projects.
- Monitor academic progress and provide targeted support.
- Maintain classroom discipline and foster a positive learning atmosphere.
- Communicate regularly with parents and school leadership about student progress.
- Participate in professional development and school initiatives.
- Prepare students for IGCSE, WAEC, and other math competitions.
Requirements
Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or Education (Mathematics).
- IGCSE teaching certification or willingness to obtain it.
- TRCN certification is an added advantage.
Experience:
- 2 - 5 years teaching mathematics at the middle or high school level.
- Proven success in preparing students for IGCSE exams.
- Experience with Cambridge International Curriculum is preferred.
Required Skills:
- Strong command of mathematics and the IGCSE syllabus.
- Effective classroom management and student engagement techniques.
