- An Experienced Early Years Montessori Teacher guides young children through self-directed learning using the Montessori method, fostering independence, creativity, and holistic development in a nurturing classroom environment.
- An Early Years Montessori Teacher is responsible for creating a safe, stimulating, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for children aged 2 to 6.
- Using the Montessori philosophy, the teacher facilitates hands-on activities that promote cognitive, emotional, social, and physical growth. The role emphasizes observation, individualized instruction, and fostering a lifelong love of learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement lesson plans aligned with Montessori principles.
- Prepare and maintain a calm, orderly, and engaging classroom environment.
- Guide children in developing practical life skills, language, math, and sensory awareness.
- Observe and assess each child’s development to tailor learning experiences.
- Encourage self-directed learning and independence.
- Communicate regularly with parents about student progress and behavior.
- Ensure safe use of Montessori materials and maintain classroom hygiene.
- Participate in staff meetings, training, and parent-teacher conferences.
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
- Montessori certification from a recognized training institute (e.g., AMI, AMS).
- Additional training in child psychology or special education is a plus.
