Job Summary




  • We are looking for a dynamic and strategic Head, Commercial to drive revenue growth, optimize profitability, and oversee the entire commercial function within our retail operations.

  • This individual will be responsible for crafting and executing commercial strategies, building strong customer and partner relationships, and leading a high-performing team.

  • The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the retail industry and a proven track record of delivering results with minimal supervision.



Key Responsibilities

Strategic Commercial Leadership:




  • Develop and implement the commercial strategy aligned with the company’s overall goals and objectives.

  • Identify growth opportunities across product lines, market segments, and distribution channels.



Sales and Revenue Management:




  • Drive sales growth by developing innovative sales plans and promotional strategies.



Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics to ensure targets are met or exceeded.




  • Oversee pricing strategies to maintain competitiveness and profitability.



Customer Relationship Management:




  • Build and nurture strong relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders.

  • Ensure exceptional customer satisfaction by aligning commercial operations with customer needs.



Product and Category Management:




  • Collaborate with product teams to determine optimal product assortments and pricing strategies.

  • Monitor product performance and trends to inform inventory decisions and promotional campaigns.



Team Leadership:




  • Lead and mentor the commercial team, including sales, marketing, and category managers, to achieve objectives.

  • Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and performance excellence.



Market and Competitor Analysis:




  • Conduct regular market research to understand industry trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities.

  • Use insights to refine commercial strategies and identify new opportunities.



Budget and Financial Management:




  • Prepare and manage the commercial budget, ensuring cost-effective operations.

  • Analyze financial reports to assess profitability and adjust strategies as needed.

  • Develop and manage the supply chain budget, focusing on cost optimization while maintaining quality and service levels.

  • Implement cost-reduction strategies across the supply chain without compromising performance or customer satisfaction.



Qualifications




  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).

  • At least 8+ years of experience in a senior commercial role within the retail industry.

  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth and profitability in a retail environment.

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and lead cross-functional teams.

  • Expertise in sales, marketing, category management, and pricing strategies.

  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.

  • Experience with retail management systems and customer relationship management tools is an advantage.
