Contec Global Agro is seeking a results-oriented Business Development Manager to join our dynamic team in Abuja.
This role is pivotal to our expansion strategy, focusing on identifying new market opportunities, forging strategic partnerships, and increasing our footprint in Nigeria's agro-industrial sector.
Key Responsibilities
Market Penetration: Identify, target, and secure new clients and business opportunities within the agro-allied industry (e.g., inputs, produce, processing).
Strategic Partnerships: Develop and negotiate partnerships with key stakeholders, including distributors, suppliers, corporate farms, and government agencies.
Revenue Growth: Drive sales and achieve set targets for revenue and market share by promoting our portfolio of agro-products and services.
Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key accounts, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.
Market Intelligence: Conduct thorough market research to understand trends, competitor activities, and identify new areas for business development.
Proposal Development: Prepare and present compelling business proposals and presentations to potential clients and partners.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Agriculture, Marketing, or a related field.
A minimum of 7 years of proven business development or sales experience, preferably within the Agriculture/Agro-allied sector in Nigeria.
A strong existing network of contacts within the Nigerian agro-sector is highly desirable.
Demonstrable track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
