Job Description
- The company is seeking to hire a reliable, detail-oriented Project Assistant to support the operations coordination of the business. In this hands-on role, S/he will work closely with designers, craftsmen, and suppliers to ensure materials, schedules, and workflows stay on track—helping transform design concepts into high-quality finished products.
Key Responsibilities:
Production Coordination:
- Assist in managing daily production schedules and work orders.
- Track the status of ongoing jobs, flagging potential delays or bottlenecks.
- Monitor the product assigned to the artisan, ensuring they comply with the specification.
Quality Control Support:
- Inspect incoming materials and finished parts for conformance to specifications.
- Document any defects or discrepancies and liaise with relevant teams to resolve issues.
Workflow & Documentation:
- Create and maintain 2D and 3D product specifications.
- Update digital records on our production-tracking system.
Requirements:
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of experience in a production, manufacturing, or workshop environment.
- Proficiency in CAD for furniture.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to track multiple jobs simultaneously.
- Proficiency with MS Office (Excel for basic data tracking) and/or entry-level ERP use.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic understanding of woodworking, metalwork, or upholstery processes.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on shop environment.
Preferred Experience:
- Familiarity with furniture manufacturing workflows.
- Exposure to CAD/CAM processes.
