Role Brief
- The HR Officer will support the effective delivery of HR services across the organization. This
- role involves handling day-to-day HR operations including recruitment, employee relations,
- performance management, payroll support, and compliance with labor regulations. The ideal
- candidate will be proactive, organized, and people-oriented with strong knowledge of HRpractices.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the recruitment, selection, and onboarding process of employees.
- Maintain employee records (attendance, leave, contracts, etc.) in line with company policies.
- Support HR initiatives such as training, performance reviews, and employee engagement
- activities.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, health & safety regulations, and internal policies.
- Handle employee queries and provide guidance on HR policies and procedures.
- Support disciplinary and grievance management processes.
- Prepare HR reports and contribute to HR planning activities.
- Assist with payroll preparation by providing accurate data on attendance, leaves, and overtime.
- Promote a positive organizational culture and foster teamwork across departments.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Industrial Relations, Business.
- 2–4 years of HR experience (preferably in logistics, cargo operations, or a related industry).
- Administration, or related field.
- HR certification (CIPM, SHRM, CIPD or equivalent) is an advantage.
- Sound knowledge of Nigerian labor laws and HR best practices.
- Proficiency in MS Office and HR software tools.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
