Job Summary
- The Sales Manager will be responsible for developing and executing effective sales strategies to achieve the company’s revenue and market share objectives within the FMCG sector.
- This role involves overseeing the sales team, managing key accounts, identifying new business opportunities, and ensuring consistent growth in line with company goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve business targets and increase market penetration.
- Manage, mentor, and motivate the sales team to ensure high performance and productivity.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities and partnerships within the FMCG market.
- Maintain strong relationships with key distributors, retailers, and wholesalers to ensure consistent product availability and visibility.
- Conduct regular market analysis to monitor competitor activities, pricing trends, and customer preferences.
- Work closely with the marketing and supply chain teams to align promotional activities and ensure product availability.
- Prepare and present sales forecasts, performance reports, and strategic recommendations to management.
- Ensure effective execution of trade marketing initiatives and promotional campaigns.
- Monitor debt collection and ensure adherence to company credit policies.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5–7 years’ experience in FMCG sales management, with proven success in achieving sales targets.
- Strong understanding of the FMCG market dynamics, distribution channels, and retail operations.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications and CRM software.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Willingness to travel as required.
