We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Production Manager to oversee the end-to-end garment production process in our fashion house.
The ideal candidate will manage daily operations, ensure quality output, coordinate the production team, and align production goals with brand standards and timelines. This role requires strong leadership, a deep understanding of garment construction, and the ability to drive efficiency while maintaining creativity and excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct daily briefings, check attendance, and assign production tasks to the team.
Supervise tailors and other production staff to ensure targets and deadlines are met.
Inspect raw materials, fabrics, and accessories for quality and availability.
Monitor all stages of garment production and promptly address issues or delays.
Carry out regular quality checks to ensure garments meet design specifications and standards.
Maintain accurate production schedules, records of daily output, defects, and wastage.
Liaise with admin, procurement, and other stakeholders for updates, feedback, and material planning.
Ensure machines and equipment are functional, and arrange for timely maintenance or repairs.
Review and adjust production timelines to accommodate new orders and workload.
Conduct inventory checks and coordinate with the procurement team for restocking.
Organize training, skill development, and performance feedback sessions for team members.
Prepare and submit weekly and monthly production reports, highlighting achievements, challenges, and areas of improvement.
Analyze production performance against targets and identify bottlenecks.
Review production costs, ensure budget alignment, and recommend cost-saving measures without compromising quality.
Enforce workplace safety standards and conduct regular safety checks.
Collaborate with senior management to plan upcoming projects, peak seasons, or new collections.
Recognize outstanding team members, reward achievements, and address underperformance constructively.
Person Specification
Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience in Fashion, Production Management, or related field.
3–5 years’ proven experience in garment production, tailoring supervision, or fashion operations.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
In-depth knowledge of fabrics, garment construction, and quality standards.
Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, creative, and high-pressure environment.
