The Quality Control Officer ensures that all products manufactured meet the required quality standards before they reach customers. This role involves inspecting materials, monitoring production processes, conducting tests, and implementing quality assurance protocols to maintain consistent product excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Inspect raw materials, in-process items, and finished goods to ensure compliance with specifications
Conduct routine and random sampling tests using appropriate tools and techniques
Monitor production processes to identify deviations and recommend corrective actions
Maintain detailed records of inspections, test results, and quality issues
Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality-related problems
Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies
Assist in developing and updating quality control procedures and documentation
Train production staff on quality standards and best practices
Participate in internal and external audits
Requirement
Bachelor’s degree or HND in Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, or related field
Minimum of 1–3 years experience in quality control within a manufacturing environment
Strong knowledge of quality assurance methodologies and tools (e.g., Six Sigma, ISO standards)
Proficiency in using measuring instruments (e.g., callipers, micrometres, gauges)
Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
Good communication and teamwork abilities
Familiarity with statistical process control and root cause analysis
