The Small Chops Cook will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting assorted finger foods and snacks (“small chops”) such as samosas, spring rolls, puff-puff, chicken kebabs, and other varieties.
The role requires speed, consistency, and attention to hygiene while ensuring quality and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and cook a variety of small chops according to recipes and company standards.
Ensure portion control and consistent presentation of all items.
Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards in the kitchen at all times.
Monitor stock of ingredients, report shortages, and assist with inventory control.
Assist in menu development and introduction of new small chops varieties.
Reduce food waste through proper planning, storage, and rotation of ingredients.
Support catering services and events when required.
Adhere to all health and safety regulations (HACCP/NAFDAC/local standards).
Qualifications & Skills
Proven experience as a cook, preferably in preparing small chops/finger foods.
Knowledge of Nigerian snacks and party small chops recipes.
Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Basic knowledge of food hygiene and safety practices.
