  • Wazobia Technologies is looking for a Technical Project Manager who is smart and passionate about software development with strong organization, communication, and leadership qualities. A qualified candidate has a strong grasp of agile methodologies and experience managing multiple software development projects at once. This position is for self-starters with good communication skills, work ethic, and the ability to participate in all aspects of the software development life cycle.

  • As an Agile Project Manager, you will be the member of the Agile Delivery Team responsible for defining user Stories and prioritizing the Product Backlog to streamline the execution of program priorities while maintaining the conceptual and technical integrity of the Features or components for the team. You will work as part of the Software development team to take ownership of new features and manage the end-to-end development process. This will involve working closely with the Stakeholders and the Scrum team.



Key Responsibilities:




  • The ability to define the project scope, objectives and participants in a project charter which serves as the foundation for the project.

  • Define roles and produce schedules and timelines for tasks per the needs of the business.

  • Manage project implementation time frames and overall project plan, including deliverables, testing, and implementation support.

  • Provide overall leadership to the entire project team, including overseeing other functional team leaders

  • Create and manage the estimates, project plan, project schedule, resource allocation and expenses to ensure targets are reached.

  • Lead scrum teams in delivering a product that customers love whilst delivering business outcomes.

  • Backlog grooming and prioritize product improvements that will impact the most significantly.

  • Identify issues and risks on time and develops/implements appropriate mitigation and contingency plans.

  • Report project status in a timely and accurate manner

  • Communicate with internal/external clients to determine specific requirements and expectations; manage client expectations as an indicator of quality, perform timely escalations.

  • Ensure compliance to quality assurance principles and document management within the Services delivery team.

  • Take on project supervisory responsibility and provides mentorship and coaching to an entire project team.

  • Manage client relationships and negotiates project implementation time frames and overall project plan, including deliverables, testing, and implementation support.

  • Manage projects using standardized project management methodology and procedures

  • Provide weekly updates on project health, progress, and potential risks. Works on projects of diverse scope.



Required Knowledge and Experience:




  • Proficiency in configuring JIRA workflows.

  • Good understanding of scrum framework.

  • Significant project management experience in managing large implementation/software development projects

  • Ability to break down complex epics into issues for developers to work on.

  • Excellent organizational and project management skills

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

  • Has knowledge and skill level of applicable software tools and processes

  • Knowledge and experience in agile methodology.

  • In-depth understanding of customer needs and the general impact of changes in the business environment and industry trends.

  • An ability to understand and anticipate the client’s needs and provide consultancy as required

  • Specialized project management skills to plan, monitor and track projects to meet the target KPIs.

  • Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and diagnose complex problems.

  • Solid team leadership skills to exchange ideas.

  • Ability to prioritize effectively within and across one or more assignments through good judgement, seeking guidance where appropriate.

  • Ability and willingness to contribute to ongoing process improvement initiatives.

  • Accountable for professional working behavior to include; building and maintaining constructive working relationships, implementing proactive and concise communication, acting as a resource to colleagues, and engaging in collaborative thinking and problem-solving.



Nice to Have Experience:




  • Agile process certification ( PMP)

  • Demonstrated experience on a mature agile development team in roles other than PM (i.e. Scrum Master, BA, Product Owner, etc.)

  • Technical background/knowledge

  • Using MoSCoW prioritization technique for requirement gathering

  • Understanding PRINCE2 management approach
