- We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Warehouse Specialist to join our team. This hands-on role is critical for maintaining the accuracy and efficiency of our logistics operations, encompassing the entire workflow from receipt to shipment. The ideal candidate has a strong background in operating Material Handling Equipment (MHE) and expertise with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
Core Responsibilities
Operations & Inventory Management
- Receiving & Quality Control: Execute the detailed process of receiving, inspecting, and accurately verifying incoming goods against purchase orders and invoices. Document and report any discrepancies or damages immediately.
- Storage & Organization: Perform organized storage and retrieval of inventory, strictly adhering to storage optimization techniques, such as FIFO (First-In, First-Out), to ensure proper stock rotation.
- Inventory Accuracy: Maintain inventory integrity through rigorous daily cycle counting, performing physical inventory checks, and reconciling any variances in the WMS.
- Order Fulfillment: Flawlessly execute the picking, packing, staging, and preparation of complex customer orders, ensuring every shipment meets stringent quality and delivery specifications.
Safety & Equipment Proficiency
- MHE Operation: Expertly and safely operate various Material Handling Equipment, including sit-down forklifts, reach trucks, and electric pallet jacks, holding current certification.
- Safety Compliance: Strictly follow all company safety protocols, local regulations, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to maintain a secure and professional work environment.
- Housekeeping: Ensure the warehouse environment is consistently clean, organized, and free of hazards.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED required; relevant certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 3 years of verifiable experience in a high-volume warehouse or distribution center.
- Current MHE Operator Certification and proven proficiency with different types of forklifts.
- Solid working knowledge of inventory control methods, including cycle counting and physical inventory procedures.
- Functional expertise with a major Warehouse Management System (WMS) (e.g., SAP, Oracle, etc.).
- Exceptional attention to detail and proven ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in data entry and physical processes.
- Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
