The role holder will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of tax compliance and audit processes. He/she will ensure tax obligations are met while identifying opportunities for tax savings. Additionally, you will lead audit engagements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory and company standards.
Job Responsibilities
Manage and oversee tax compliance, including preparation and review of tax returns.
Ensure appropriate tax deductions and remittance from vendors.
Lead internal audit engagements, including planning, execution, and reporting phases.
Review financial statements and ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulatory requirements.
Develop and maintain good relationships, providing tax-related advice to internal and external stakeholders.
Manage correspondence with all regulatory bodies, e.g. LIRS, FIRS.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
CITN and any other accounting certification.
Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in tax and audit-related functions.
Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations, with the ability to apply them to complex situations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
