Experience: 3-5 years

Purpose statement


We need a project manager who will be responsible for planning and overseeing projects within the organisation, from the initial ideation through to completion. He/She will coordinate people and processes to deliver projects on time, within budget and with the desired outcomes aligned to objectives.

Responsibilities



  • Work with the Executive Director in managing the full range of activities required to research, prepare, submit, and manage grant proposals for the NGO.

  • Develop ideas, design projects and raise funds through proposals to approved foundations, donor agencies and other acceptable funding sources towards achieving programme objectives.

  • Active involvement in communication with, and management of the NGO’s Partners and Donors.

  • Work with Partners and Donors to develop goals and plans that support programmes and priorities.

  • Create and maintain strategic relationships for impactful programmes, including stakeholders' management.

  • Coordinate internal and external teams to manage the organisation’s contracts and work plans, and ensure the timely completion of project activities.

  • Build positive working relationships with current and future Partners, Funders and/or Donors.

  • Maintain and grow the network of contacts within the community development, civil society and governance ecosystem.

  • Be a strong team player by actively harnessing team members to develop relationships and access opportunities to increase project-flow opportunities.

  • Effectively coordinate communications with prospects and colleagues on project activities and related matters.
