The candidate will be responsible for:
- Maintaining accurate books and financial records.
- Preparing management accounts and financial statements.
- Handling payroll processing and ensuring timely statutory remittances.
- Preparing and filing tax returns (VAT, WHT, PAYE, CIT, etc.) and ensuring compliance with tax regulations.
- Supporting internal and external audit processes.
- Building and maintaining financial models for budgeting and forecasting.
- Managing loan accounts and tracking repayments.
- Monitoring cash flow, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
- Managing relationships with bankers and tax authorities.
Academic and Professional Qualifications
- First Degree in Accounting, Finance, or other related fields.
- ICAN, ACA or ACCA certified (or in view) – minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience preferred.
Work Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years’ relevant work experience (post-NYSC).
- Experience in a financial institution, audit firm, or structured corporate environment is an advantage.
- This is not an entry-level role.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (must be able to prepare financial statements using Excel).
- Good understanding of IFRS accounting principles.
- Good knowledge of relevant tax laws and audit procedures.
- Financial statement analysis.
- Financial modelling.
- Experience in payroll processing and statutory remittances (PAYE, Pension, NHF, etc.).
- Working knowledge of loan management.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Typing speed of 40WPM.
