Job Description




  • The Civil & Structural Draftsman will be responsible for preparing detailed drawings, plans, and layouts related to civil and structural aspects of the combined cycle power plant project.

  • This includes foundations, structural supports, piping supports, building layouts, and other civil infrastructure elements, ensuring compliance with engineering standards and project specifications.



Key Responsibilities




  • Prepare accurate and detailed civil and structural drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, or other CAD software as required by the project.

  • Develop foundation layouts, structural steel details, reinforcements, and concrete detailing for various plant components such as turbine foundations, cooling towers, and electrical buildings.

  • Interpret engineering sketches, blueprints, and specifications to create precise draft drawings.

  • Coordinate with Civil, Structural, Mechanical, and Electrical engineers to incorporate design changes and ensure alignment across disciplines.

  • Update and maintain drawing documentation and ensure version control in line with project standards.

  • Support site engineers with as-built drawings and modifications during construction phases.

  • Ensure all drafting work adheres to relevant codes, standards, and project quality requirements.

  • Participate in design review meetings and incorporate feedback into drawings.



Qualifications & Experience




  • Bsc Degree / HND in Civil Engineering/Structural Engineering.

  • 6-10 years of experience in drafting for power plants, heavy industrial projects, or large-scale civil/structural works.

  • Proficient in AutoCAD (2D & 3D), Revit, STAAD.Pro (basic knowledge helpful), and other drafting software.

  • Strong understanding of civil and structural engineering principles related to power plant infrastructure.

  • Familiarity with relevant codes and standards such as IS, ASTM, AISC, or equivalent international standards.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently.

  • Good communication skills and team-oriented attitude.
