Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver interactive lessons in Computer Studies and ICT using modern teaching methods.
- Teach topics such as computer fundamentals, coding, digital citizenship, and safe internet use.
- Design and assess classwork, projects, and practical activities to evaluate students’ progress.
- Manage and maintain the computer laboratory to ensure a safe and productive learning environment.
- Integrate real-life applications and emerging technologies into classroom practice.
- Support school-wide ICT initiatives and co-curricular activities such as coding clubs or robotics.
- Participate actively in departmental meetings, curriculum development, and staff training programs.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Education, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Recognized teaching qualification (PGDE, TRCN registration, or equivalent).
- Minimum of 2–3 years teaching experience, preferably in a secondary or technical school setting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Scratch, HTML/CSS).
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
