Job Objective:




  • To ensure the health and safety of employees by identifying, assessing, and mitigating occupational health risks in line with international standards.

  • The Industrial Hygienist will lead health risk assessments, implement preventive programs, and support compliance with regulatory and organizational health policies throughout the Bonga North Project.



Key Responsibilities:




  • Conduct Health Risk Assessments (HRA) in line with IOGP 384 methodology.

  • Collaborate with management to resolve occupational health issues.

  • Monitor employee exposure to health risks and evaluate program effectiveness.

  • Lead initiatives to improve ergonomics and employee health.

  • Perform regular audits and deliver training on occupational health and safety.



Functional Competencies:




  • Registered with an association recognized by the International Occupational Hygiene Association (IOHA).

  • Skilled in Work Environment analysis, Noise & Health risk assessments, and Chemical classification.

  • Strong knowledge of relevant laws, policies, and procedures.

  • Excellent communication and computer skills.

  • Health Risk Assessment Expertise – Skilled in conducting HRAs using the IOGP 384 methodology.

  • Occupational Health Knowledge – Deep understanding of workplace health hazards and mitigation strategies.

  • Analytical Thinking – Ability to assess complex environments and recommend effective health solutions.

  • Communication Skills – Strong verbal and written communication for training, reporting, and collaboration.

  • Regulatory Compliance – Proficient in interpreting and applying health and safety laws and standards.

  • Technical Proficiency – Competent in using computer tools for data analysis, reporting, and documentation.

  • Project Leadership – Capable of leading health initiatives and coordinating with cross-functional teams.

  • Audit & Evaluation – Experience in conducting audits and evaluating occupational health programs.



Educational Qualification required for the Position:




  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health Sciences, or a related field.



Professional Qualification required for the Position:




  • Chartered/Professional Industrial Hygienist with 3–5 years of experience in Oil, Gas & Energy sectors.



Experience required for the Position:




  • Minimum of 3-5 years of Oil and Gas working experience
