We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Continental Chef (Live-Out) to join a private household in Ikoyi.
The ideal candidate must be mature, well-mannered, and demonstrate the highest level of professionalism in preparing and presenting a wide range of continental dishes.
The Chef will be responsible for planning, preparing, and serving healthy, delicious, and visually appealing meals while maintaining excellent kitchen hygiene and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and serve a variety of continental cuisines (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) with attention to quality, presentation, and taste.
Plan daily and weekly menus, incorporating dietary preferences and seasonal ingredients.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, pantry, and all food preparation areas.
Ensure strict hygiene and food safety standards are followed at all times.
Source and manage inventory of fresh ingredients and kitchen supplies.
Create new and innovative dishes while respecting client preferences and dietary requirements.
Manage time effectively to ensure all meals are prepared and served promptly.
Coordinate with household staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely service.
Handle kitchen appliances, tools, and equipment responsibly and report any maintenance needs.
Maintain discretion and professionalism within the household environment.
Requirements
Culinary certification or equivalent professional training preferred.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Continental or Private Chef in a home, hotel, or fine dining establishment.
Proven knowledge of continental cuisines and meal presentation techniques.
Strong knowledge of kitchen hygiene, food safety, and storage practices.
Excellent time management and multitasking skills.
Mature, respectful, and well-mannered demeanor with good communication skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
