Job Description

Our client is a group of companies in Nigeria. Due to expansion, they are seeking a Supply Manager.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Build and own a rolling 3–6‑month supply plan (volumes by product/grade, by source/depot/terminal) aligned to sales forecast, inventory policies, and turnaround schedules.

  • Run monthly reports with Sales/Finance/Operations; reconcile demand signals, constraints, and supply scenarios (base/optimistic/constrained).

  • Evaluate and recommend sourcing options (local vs. import, index vs. fixed, cargo parcelization) to achieve optimal netback/landed cost.

  • Support negotiation of spot/term supply contracts, pricing formulas (e.g., Platts + premium), and service level provisions (incoterms, laytime, demurrage caps).

  • Optimize truck turn‑around times (TTT), transport allocation, and route planning to reduce stock‑outs and secondary distribution cost.

  • Interface daily with depots/tank farms and transporters; resolve dispatch issues, prioritize critical stations/customers, and communicate ETAs.

  • Monitor stock levels, ullage, and in‑transit quantities across locations; trigger replenishment per policy.

  • Lead daily/weekly reconciliations (book vs. physical, terminal loss/gain), variance analyses, and corrective actions.

  • Ensure all importation/local supply activities meet regulatory requirements (permits, DPR/NMDPRA approvals, SONCAP where applicable).

  • Liaise with inspection agencies and regulators; prepare responses for audits and ensure adherence to HSE, weights & measures, and tax rules.

  • Track landed cost drivers (premiums, freight, demurrage, storage, handling, throughput, transport, losses) and implement savings initiatives.

  • Reduce demurrage and detention through proactive laytime management and slot optimization; escalate port/depot constraints early.

  • Maintain supplier and transporter performance KPIs; drive corrective actions or re‑tendering as needed.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain/Logistics, Economics, or related field.

  • Master’s degree/MBA is an advantage.

  • 7–10+ years in downstream oil & gas supply, distribution, trading support, or terminal operations; proven experience with marine/truck scheduling and inventory control in multi‑depot networks.

  • Working knowledge of ERP (e.g., SAP/Oracle/Microsoft Dynamics), TMS, terminal automation systems, and advanced Excel/analytics.
