Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, including major IOCs, independent producers, and service companies in the oil and gas sector.
- Identify new business opportunities for production chemicals to achieve revenue goals.
- Ensure timely and successful delivery of chemical solutions tailored to clients’ needs and objectives.
- Expand business opportunities with existing clients.
- Provide technical services to address production challenges and enhance client production capabilities.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for coordinating service incident resolution and escalation of technical issues.
- Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams to ensure prompt and effective delivery of products and solutions.
- Manage multiple clients concurrently, meeting deadlines and maintaining service quality.
- Conduct field trials of production chemicals to evaluate performance, effectiveness, and compatibility in oilfield production systems.
- Offer technical support and guidance to clients on all company products and services.
- Collaborate with R&D to develop new product formulations when existing ones do not meet requirements.
- Monitor trends in production chemistry and provide relevant advice to clients and management.
- Initiate and coordinate action plans to penetrate new markets.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of marketing strategies.
- Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and customer surveys.
Qualifications
- B.Sc./B.Eng/HND (minimum of Second Class Upper/Upper Credit) in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, or a related field.
- 3–4 years of relevant experience in technical sales, production chemistry, or a similar role in the oil and gas industry.
- Master’s degree in a related discipline is required.
- Relevant professional qualifications or certifications are an added advantage.
