Job Description
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Raw Material Store Incharge with expertise in handling chemicals and raw materials specific to the ceramic industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing inventory, ensuring safe storage practices, and maintaining accurate documentation to support production and procurement functions.
Key Responsibilities
Storage & Handling
- Oversee safe storage and handling of chemicals, inks, abrasives, and other raw materials used in ceramic manufacturing.
- Ensure compliance with PPE usage and chemical safety protocols.
- Maintain proper segregation and labelling of hazardous materials.
Inventory & Material Management
- Conduct physical verification of stock:
- Inks: every 15 days
- Chemicals & Abrasives: monthly
- Maintain accurate bin cards, GRNs, issue notes, and return records.
- Implement and monitor FIFO/FEFO inventory practices.
- Coordinate with purchase and production teams to prevent stockouts and overstocking.
- Maintain up-to-date stock registers and transaction logs.
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports with variance analysis.
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of inventory control principles and warehouse operations.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as Orion, SAP, or Tally ERP.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word for reporting and analysis.
