Job Summary
The Site Surveyor will be responsible for conducting detailed site surveys for construction and development projects. The role involves using specialized surveying equipment to gather, analyze, and interpret data on terrain, boundaries, and site features to support design, planning, and execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Survey Execution: Conduct on-site surveys to collect accurate measurements of land, elevation, and other physical features for construction, land development, and mapping purposes.
- Data Analysis: Analyze and process survey data to produce precise reports, maps, and project plans, ensuring alignment with design specifications and engineering requirements.
- Equipment Management: Set up, calibrate, operate, and maintain survey instruments such as Total Stations, GPS receivers, theodolites, levels, and laser devices.
- Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, technicians, and other team members to provide technical input and ensure project goals are achieved efficiently.
- Quality Assurance: Verify the accuracy of survey data and ensure that all setting-out and construction work adheres to approved technical drawings and specifications.
- Compliance: Ensure all surveying activities comply with applicable safety regulations, environmental standards, and local laws.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Surveying Engineering, Geomatics, or a related field.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant survey software.
- Skilled in operating Total Stations, Level Instruments, and Laser Equipment
