Job Description
The Business Development Executive will be responsible for driving commercial growth by sourcing new clients, identifying offtakers, and securing partnerships across the oil & gas value chain, with a strong focus on LNG and gas commercialisation. The role involves generating new business leads, supporting project development, and managing key relationships to drive the company’s expansion in the midstream and downstream gas markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, research, and pursue new business opportunities across upstream, midstream, and downstream segments, particularly in gas and LNG/CNG projects.
- Source, engage, and onboard potential offtakers for gas, LNG/CNG, and related energy products.
- Conduct market assessments and demand analysis to identify and target viable offtake markets.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, strategic partners, regulators, and stakeholders.
- Prepare and coordinate proposals and commercial presentations.
- Support the development and execution of business and marketing strategies for LNG, CNG, and gas infrastructure projects.
- Collaborate with the technical, project, finance, and legal teams to structure commercial agreements, JV partnerships, and sales contracts.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes affecting gas and LNG markets.
- Represent the company at conferences, exhibitions, and investor forums to promote brand visibility and attract new opportunities.
- Track, manage, and report on all business development activities, ensuring alignment with corporate growth objectives.
- Understanding Gas Commercialisation and Marketing across industries.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
- 4 to 10 years of relevant experience in business development, commercial operations, or marketing within the Oil and Gas sector.
- Proven experience in sourcing off-takers or negotiating gas supply and sales agreements (LNG, CNG).
- Understanding of the LNG value chain, gas Commercialisation, and infrastructure development in Nigeria or the West African market.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM tools, and market analysis software.
