Job Description

• Ensure successful delivery of projects


• Maintain and ensure profitability


• Conduct market research to identify potential clients and opportunities


• Collaborate with the sales and marketing team to align shop services with client expectations


• Secure new OEM relationships and support growth for existing OEM products


• Facilitate technical presentations, and workshops


• Contribute to technical and commercial proposals to clients


• Understand product technical details and features


• Manage daily machine shop operations


• Track and coordinate production schedules to meet deadlines


• Supervise the use of machines, equipment, and tools


• Implement regular maintenance plans for all machinery and equipment’s


• Identify and implement improvements plans to boost efficiency, reduce waste and quality


• Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices


• Oversee facility upgrades to improve system efficiency, operations, and safety


• Work with the QHSSE manager to ensure all machines comply with safety and operational standards


• Oversee and guide machine shop technicians and operators


• Promote a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement


• Work closely with the production team to ensure quality standards are met


• Coordinate with the QAQC engineer to ensure all equipment’s meets regulatory standards


• Maintain adequate stock of materials, tools, and spare parts


• Ensure raw materials meet quality standards from approved suppliers


• Work with unit head to manage the purchase of supplies and equipment’s


• Maintain accurate records of machine usage, maintenance activities, personnel performance and production metrics


• Prepare regular performance report for management review

Job Specification

• A degree in Mechanical Engineering or any related field from an Internationally recognized tertiary Institution.


• A minimum of 8 years’ experience as a machine shop business manager
