Job Summary:
- The General Manager, Management, is responsible for providing overall leadership, direction, and strategic oversight of the Human Resources, Administration & Facility, and Legal departments.
- The role ensures the seamless integration of people, systems, and policies that promote organizational efficiency, compliance, and sustainability.
- The GM serves as a key business partner to the executive leadership team, driving initiatives that strengthen company culture, operational excellence, and legal integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Governance
- Develop and implement integrated management strategies that align HR, Admin, Facility, and Legal functions with corporate objectives.
- Advise top management on business policies, people strategy, and compliance-related risks.
- Champion the development of a high-performance culture that emphasises productivity, accountability, and employee engagement.
- Ensure sound governance and adherence to all company policies, statutory regulations, and legal frameworks.
- Participate in strategic planning sessions and provide insights on organizational structure, manpower, and administrative efficiency.
Human Resources Management
- Lead the HR department to ensure effective workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, and retention of top talent.
- Oversee performance management systems, employee relations, and disciplinary processes to maintain workplace harmony.
- Supervise the design and administration of compensation, benefits, and welfare programs that enhance employee satisfaction.
- Drive capacity-building initiatives, including training needs analysis, leadership development, and succession planning.
- Monitor compliance with Nigerian labour laws, company HR policies, and ethical standards.
- Promote diversity, inclusion, and employee well-being initiatives across all company locations.
Administration & Facility Management
- Oversee general administrative operations, ensuring smooth day-to-day running of the organization.
- Supervise facility management, including maintenance, security, utilities, and space planning.
- Manage company assets and logistics—vehicles, equipment, and office supplies—ensuring accountability and cost-effectiveness.
- Establish and enforce health, safety, and environmental standards across all facilities.
- Coordinate procurement and vendor management processes, ensuring quality service delivery and adherence to company policies.
- Implement digital and operational systems to enhance efficiency, control costs, and support scalability.
Legal & Compliance Management
- Provide leadership to the Legal Department to ensure all company operations and contracts comply with applicable laws and regulations.
- Oversee the drafting, review, and negotiation of contracts, agreements, and memoranda of understanding (MoUs).
- Advise management on corporate governance issues, regulatory compliance, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Manage all company litigation and liaise with external counsel to safeguard the company’s interests.
- Ensure timely filing of statutory returns, licenses, and permits.
- Support the development and enforcement of internal policies to ensure legal and ethical conduct at all levels of the organization.
Leadership, People & Performance Management
- Provide direct leadership to departmental heads, ensuring collaboration, accountability, and high performance.
- Conduct periodic reviews of departmental performance and implement corrective measures where necessary.
- Mentor and develop departmental managers to enhance leadership capability and organizational succession.
- Foster open communication, teamwork, and transparency across departments.
- Prepare and manage annual budgets for HR, Admin, Facility, and Legal functions, ensuring cost optimization and fiscal discipline.

Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resource Management, Law, or related field.
- Master’s degree (MBA or equivalent) is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 12–15 years’ progressive experience, including at least 5 years in senior management capacity overseeing HR, Admin, and Legal functions.
- Professional certifications such as CIPM, SHRM, CIPD, or LLB/BL are highly desirable.
- Demonstrated experience in corporate governance, labour law, and strategic people management.
- Strong background in organizational development, compliance management, and administrative leadership.
