  • We are seeking a highly organized and creative Exhibition Manager to lead the planning, production and delivery of our exhibitions.

  • The successful candidate will coordinate all phases from concept and design through fabrication, installation, opening and dismantle.

  • You will manage budgets, liaise with vendors and exhibitors, ensure health & safety and visitor experience standards, and collaborate with marketing and content teams to ensure an engaging, successful event/exhibition.

  • This is a full-time on-site role for an exhibition Manager located in Lagos. The exhibition Manager will be responsible for planning, organising and managing exhibitions from conception through to completion.

  • Day –to-day tasks includes coordinating with vendors, managing exhibition logistics, overseeing the setup and dismantling of exhibits and ensuring all events run smoothly and efficiently.

  • The Exhibition Manager will also liaise with clients to understand their requirements and ensure their expectations are met.



Responsibilities




  • Plan, develop and produce the exhibition from concept through to completion: idea, layout, procurement, installation, de-installation.

  • Coordinate with exhibitors, vendors, contractors, sponsors, and other stakeholders.

  • Design or approve floor plans, exhibit layout, visitor flow, display design.

  • Handle logistics: transportation of exhibits, accommodation and security.

  • Manage budgets and ensure cost-effectiveness: estimating, monitoring, controlling costs, ensuring financial targets/met.

  • Collaborate with marketing/promotion teams to generate visitor interest, and with interpretation/education teams for the content side.

  • Post-event or post-exhibition evaluation: gather feedback, report on success metrics, learnings for future exhibitions.

  • Develop processes and procedural guidelines for exhibitions: e.g., sourcing, handling, storage, documentation.

  • Ability to plan, schedule, sequence tasks; manage timelines; work to deadlines.

  • Multitasking and prioritization: juggling many elements (logistics, vendors, installation, marketing) at once.

  • Carefully tracking budgets, contracts, transport/shipping, installation checklists, handling documentation.

  • Attention to detail in design/layout, visitor flow, signage, safety, compliance.

  • A sense of design: exhibit layout, visitor experience, flow, visuals.

  • Understanding of how to make exhibits engaging and accessible.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills: negotiating, liaising with vendors/exhibitors, presenting to stakeholders.

  • Collaboration and teamwork: working across departments (marketing, design, operations) and with external actors like sponsors or lenders

  • Budget creation and monitoring; cost estimation; vendor negotiation; contract management.



Requirements & Skills




  • Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree in Event Management, Business Administration or related field with 3 - 5 years experience in event/exhibition, especially coordinating complex exhibits.

  • Event Planning, exhibition management and project management skills

  • Vendor coordination and logistics Management skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Experience in managing budgets and negotiating contracts

  • Attention to details and problem solving skills

  • Experience in the exhibition or event management industry is a plus

  • Vendor negotiations and organizational skills

  • Ability to meet deadlines, coordinate multiple projects.
