Job Summary




  • We are seeking an experienced Procurement Officer to join our construction team based in Ikeja, Lagos.

  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing high-quality materials, negotiating with suppliers, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring the timely delivery of goods and services to support ongoing construction projects.



Key Responsibilities




  • Source and procure construction materials, equipment, and services in line with company requirements.

  • Identify reliable vendors and suppliers while maintaining strong business relationships.

  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and payment terms to achieve cost savings and value for money.

  • Prepare and process purchase orders, requisitions, and procurement documentation.

  • Monitor supplier performance and ensure adherence to quality and delivery timelines.

  • Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and the finance department to ensure smooth procurement operations.

  • Track inventory levels and manage stock replenishment where necessary.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procurement procedures, and regulatory standards.

  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, supplier information, and pricing history.

  • Provide regular reports on procurement activities, costs, and supplier performance.



Qualifications & Experience




  • HND, or Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, engineering, or a related field.

  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in the construction industry.



Skills & Competencies




  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and procurement software/tools.

  • Solid understanding of construction materials, equipment, and vendor markets in Lagos.

  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.

  • Excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.

  • Integrity, confidentiality, and accountability in procurement dealings.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
