The Documentation Officer is responsible for preparing, verifying, and managing all import and export documents to ensure smooth cargo movement and compliance with customs and shipping regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and process shipping documents such as bills of lading, invoices, and packing lists.
Ensure all documentation meets customs, regulatory, and client requirements.
Liaise with shipping lines, clearing agents, and government agencies for cargo clearance.
Maintain accurate records and filing of all shipment documents.
Track and report document status to support smooth operations.
Requirements
Qualification: Minimum SSCE or its equivalent
2 – 4 years of experience in freight forwarding or logistics documentation.
Knowledge of import/export procedures and shipping regulations.
Strong attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills.
Proficiency in MS Office and documentation portals.
