- The Account Manager is responsible for managing financial operations, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, optimizing cash flow, and maintaining strong relationships with vendors and stakeholders.
- This role requires financial planning, reporting, and analysis to support strategic decision-making.
Responsibilities
Financial Management & Reporting:
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger entries and reconciliations.
- Prepare and analyze Management Reports and Management Accounts for strategic decision-making.
- Process receipts, expense reports, and routine banking transactions.
- Conduct financial audits and tax filings, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulatory requirements.
Compliance & Regulatory Reporting:
- Ensure timely submission of statutory returns and payments, including FIRS, pension contributions, and WHT deductions.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
Cash Flow & Budget Management:
- Monitor and forecast cash flow to ensure liquidity and financial stability.
- Review budgets and expenditures with the CEO and provide monthly financial reports.
- Assist in preparing and submitting monthly project expenditure forecasts and cash requests to the Management.
Vendor & Inventory Management:
- Supervise and manage inventory procurement processes.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely invoicing and payments.
- Maintain strong relationships with vendors, service providers, and external stakeholders.
Strategic Planning & Collaboration:
- Participate in financial planning and analysis to support business objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial goals with company strategies.
- Balance the general ledger by preparing a trial balance and reconciling entries.
Requirements
- HND or B.Sc Degree in Accounting finance or related field
- Should have ACA, ICAN or any related professional certification
- 4+ years of experience in management or consultancy
- Exceptional communication skills and attention to detail
- Exceptional organizational skills
- The ability to thrive in high-pressure situations
- Outstanding negotiating skills
- Solid history of data-driven strategic development
- Confidential and ability to handle information discretion-ally
- Significant experience in the finance and marketing fields
- Experience building a startup, or being part of a startup creation process
- Assist in preparing and submitting monthly project expenditure forecasts and cash requests to the Management.
