Job Description




  • The Manual QA Tester will be responsible for rigorously testing tech products in the mobility fintech domain, ensuring functionality, performance, and usability align with business requirements and user expectations. This role involves designing, executing, and documenting test cases, identifying defects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, high-quality software solutions.



Key Responsibilities: 




  • Test Case Development:Create, maintain, and execute detailed, well-structured manual test cases and test scripts based on product requirements, user stories, and technical specifications.  

  • Functional Testing: Perform end-to-end functional testing of mobility fintech applications, including payment processing, user authentication, transaction flows, telematics and fleet management, maintenance & after sales management, and integration with third-party APIs (e.g., payment gateways, mobility platforms, tracking services).  

  • Usability Testing: Evaluate user interfaces for intuitive design, accessibility, and consistency across web, mobile, and other platforms.  

  • Regression Testing: Conduct thorough regression testing to ensure new features or updates do not negatively impact existing functionalities.  

  • Defect Identification & Reporting: Identify, document, and track defects using tools like Jira, Bugzilla, or similar, providing clear and detailed bug reports with steps to reproduce.  

  • Collaboration: Work closely with developers, product managers, and UX designers to understand requirements, clarify ambiguities, and ensure alignment on quality goals.  

  • Test Data Management: Create and manage test data to simulate real-world scenarios, including edge cases and stress conditions specific to mobility fintech (e.g., high-volume transactions, network disruptions).  

  • Compliance Testing: Verify compliance with fintech regulations (e.g., PCI-DSS, GDPR) and industry standards for security and data privacy.  

  • Cross-Platform Testing: Test applications across multiple devices, operating systems (iOS, Android), and browsers to ensure compatibility and performance.  

  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of test plans, test cases, test results, and defect reports for auditability and future reference.  

  • Continuous Improvement: Provide feedback on product design and functionality to improve user experience and reduce defects in future iterations.  



Requirements




  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).  



Experience:  




  • 2+ years of experience in manual QA testing, preferably in fintech, mobility, logistics or related industries.  

  • Familiarity with testing payment systems, financial transactions, or mobility-related applications is a strong plus.  



Technical Skills:  




  • Proficiency in QA tools such as Jira, TestRail, or similar for test management and defect tracking.  

  • Understanding of API testing using tools like Postman or SoapUI.  

  • Familiarity with mobile and web application testing across platforms (iOS, Android, Chrome, Safari, etc.).  

  • Basic knowledge of SQL for querying databases to validate data integrity.  



Domain Knowledge:  




  • Understanding of fintech concepts such as payment processing, KYC, fraud detection, or transaction security.  

  • Familiarity with mobility-related technologies (e.g., GPS integration, ride-sharing platforms) is a plus.  



Soft Skills: 




  • Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills.  

  • Strong communication skills to articulate issues and collaborate with cross-functional teams.  

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment with tight deadlines.  

  • Certifications (Optional): ISTQB Foundation Level or similar QA certifications.
