The Import Cum Compliance Executive will be Reporting to the Import Manager, the role involves handling and organizing import documentation (Hard as well as soft copy), coordinating with customs agents, freight forwarders, and local vendors, and ensuring compliance with all applicable legal requirements. The Import Executive plays a critical role in supporting efficient supply chain operations and minimising delays and costs associated with international shipments.
Requirements
Experience in import/export operations or international logistics.
Hands-on Knowledge: Proven track record of handling end-to-end import documentation and coordinating with customs agents and freight forwarders.
Attention to Detail: This is crucial, as errors in documentation or classification can lead to severe fines, penalties, or costly delays in customs clearance.
Strong Communication: The officer must clearly liaise with internal teams (Procurement, Finance, Inventory), external partners (Customs Agents, Freight Forwarders, Vendors), and government authorities.
Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Necessary to interpret complex regulations, resolve unexpected shipment or customs issues, and manage compliance audits.
Organizational Skills: Essential for managing multiple shipments, deadlines, and maintaining detailed, audit-ready records of all import transactions.
Integrity: A high degree of ethical conduct is required to ensure all compliance activities are transparent and legally sound, protecting the company from regulatory risk
