The Restaurant Hostess serves as the first point of contact for guests, creating a welcoming and pleasant dining experience from the moment they arrive. The role involves greeting and seating guests, managing reservations and waitlists, coordinating with serving staff, and maintaining a smooth flow of guests throughout the restaurant.



Key Responsibilities:




  • Warmly greet guests as they arrive and thank them as they leave.

  • Manage reservations and seating arrangements to ensure efficient table turnover.

  • Maintain an organized waitlist during busy periods and provide accurate wait time estimates.

  • Escort guests to their tables, ensuring they are comfortably seated and attended to promptly.

  • Communicate guest preferences, special occasions, and seating requests to

  • Monitor the dining area to ensure cleanliness, order, and guest satisfaction.

  • Answer phone calls and assist with inquiries, reservations, and takeout orders (if applicable).

  • Collaborate with servers, bussers, and kitchen staff to ensure efficient service flow.

  • Assist in maintaining menus, promotional materials, and other front-of-house supplies.

  • Handle guest complaints or requests with professionalism, escalating issues to the manager when necessary.

  • Follow all restaurant policies, including health, safety, and grooming standards.



Qualifications:




  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

  • Previous experience in hospitality, customer service, or a restaurant setting is an advantage.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

  • Professional appearance and a positive, friendly attitude.

  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.



Physical Requirements:




  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

  • Ability to lift light items (up to 20 lbs) as needed.
