Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will (but is not limited to):
- Plan, execute, and monitor telecommunications projects from initiation to completion.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budgeting.
- Oversee all phases of telecom projects, from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to project objectives and specifications.
- Manage the deployment of new telecom sites and the upgrade of existing ones.
- Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal teams to ensure timely and quality site build and upgrades.
- Plan and oversee tower retrofit projects, ensuring structural integrity and compliance with industry standards.
- Implement maintenance schedules for towers, including torque checks and necessary repairs.
- Lead operations management efforts, ensuring efficient and effective day-to-day operations.
- Manage all civil works related to telecom projects, including foundations, shelters, and access roads.
- Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
- Resolve operational issues promptly and implement process improvements.
- Manage project timelines and budgets, tracking expenses and resource allocation to optimize project efficiency.
- Oversee the implementation of new network systems, including hardware, software, and infrastructure.
- Maintain and update the site database, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
- Generate detailed project reports for stakeholders, highlighting progress, risks, and mitigation strategies.
- Ensure seamless integration of new technologies into existing networks.
- Collaborate with technical teams to address any challenges during implementation.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and safety standards throughout the project lifecycle.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address project risks, escalating issues as necessary to ensure timely resolution.
- Communicate project status updates to stakeholders, providing regular reports on progress, milestones, and key performance indicators.
- Participate in project planning and strategy sessions, contributing ideas and recommendations to improve project outcomes.
Requirement
- B.Tech/B.Sc. Engineering or Sciences – (2.1 Minimum).
- Project Management Certification (PMP).
- Minimum of 4 – 6 years experience in Engineering Services, particularly in telecommunications.
- Operations and maintenance of telecommunication (active and passive) network elements and the management of telecoms turnkey projects.
- Good experience in Telecom project deployment (not limited to Site build, Upgrade, Tower Retrofit, Tower Maintenance/Torque and Operations Management, Civil works, Sites Database tracker, Reporting, etc.)
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to effectively plan, organize, and execute complex projects.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and project management tools.
