The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and statutory requirements.
The ideal candidate must be ICAN-certified and possess strong analytical and organizational skills to support financial decision-making and business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, and reports.
Manage accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger reconciliations.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Ensure compliance with tax regulations and other statutory financial requirements.
Support budget preparation, monitoring, and variance analysis.
Conduct internal financial audits and implement controls to safeguard company assets.
Liaise with external auditors, banks, and regulatory agencies as required.
Provide financial insights to management for strategic decision-making.
Maintain confidentiality and integrity of financial data.
Requirements
B.Sc. or HND in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
ICAN certification is mandatory.
5-10 years of relevant accounting experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks)
Strong knowledge of IFRS and Nigerian tax laws.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision.
