Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve business targets for the paint's raw materials and coatings division.
- Maintain awareness of market trends, customer needs and competitor initiatives and devise strategies to optimally utilize market opportunities.
- Use data and analytics to both formulate and measure the effectiveness of sales strategies.
- Maintain close and good relationship with key customers and expand the business portfolio.
- Drive market development activities to align with company business goals and ensure strategic alignment in sourcing, sales, and marketing strategies.
- Recognize and develop strategies to pursue new market segments and opportunities for business development with realistic forecasts
- Coordinate sales activities nationwide, while ensuring qualitative service delivery and compliance with standard policies and procedures.
- Work closely with the Supply Chain and Production departments to ensure timely delivery of products to meet customer demands.
- Provide nationwide technical support to customers on development of new paint/coating products
- Continuously promote raw materials for paint production to current and potential customers
- Provide leadership and guidance to team members and manage subordinates’ performance towards the achievement of overall team objectives.
- Develop and deliver proposals, presentations, and sales bids to prospective customers
- Prepare/compile agreed periodic activity and performance reports for the attention of the General Manager and Managing Director
Qualifications & Experience
- B.Sc. or HND in Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 5–7 years experience in technical sales within the paints and coatings industry.
- Sound understanding of paint formulations, additives, resins, pigments, and solvents.
- Proven record of achieving sales targets and managing key industrial accounts.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects effectively.
