Job Description
Principal Accountabilities
- Perform regular inspections, maintenance passes, and servicing of utility systems such as HVAC, cooling towers, compressors, and generators to ensure optimal performance longevity and zero downtime of all utility equipment.
- Respond promptly to utility system breakdowns and perform necessary repairs to minimize production downtime and maintain continuous plant operation.
- Carryout regular safety inspections to ensure that all utility systems comply with relevant safety regulations and standards.
- Collaborate with all teams to provide support and meet their utility needs so as to ensure seamless factory operation.
- Supervise the activities of Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and external contractors on company grounds to ensure compliance with standards, timely completion of projects, and quality of work.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment status, maintenance activities, repairs, system performance, and incidents for proper monitoring and to keep management informed

Context of Job
- Framework & Boundaries: The Utility Technician operates within a framework of established SOPs, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance, maintaining accurate records and collaborating with production teams, OEMs, and contractors. Boundaries include obtaining approvals for major decisions from the Utility Division in charge, managing resources within budget constraints, ensuring safety and compliance, and focusing on maintaining utility systems such as HVAC, cooling towers, compressors, and generators.
