Job Description
Job Summary:
- The client is looking to hire a result-oriented Regional Sales manager who will be responsible for driving the sales performance and market penetration of the company’s portfolio within the assigned region. S/he will lead, develop, and manage a team of Medical Sales Representatives (MSRs), implement go-to-market strategies, build strong customer relationships, and ensure consistent achievement of revenue and growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Development:
- Achieve regional sales targets and growth objectives for all the company's product lines.
- Develop and execute regional sales strategies to maximize market share and profitability.
- Identify new business opportunities, key accounts, and partnerships within the region.
- Monitor competitor activities and market trends to inform business strategy.
Team Leadership & Management:
- Recruit, train, coach, and motivate a high-performing team of Medical Sales Representatives.
- Conduct regular field visits, performance reviews, and on-the-job mentoring.
- Foster a results-oriented and collaborative team culture aligned with the company's values.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including pharmacies, hospitals, distributors, and healthcare professionals.
- Ensure effective territory coverage and customer satisfaction.
- Manage escalations and provide timely solutions to client needs and inquiries.
Reporting & Analytics:
- Track sales metrics, analyze performance, and provide regular reports to the Head of Sales.
- Ensure accurate and timely data capture via the company’s digital platforms.
- Provide market intelligence and actionable insights to support national strategy.
Compliance & Brand Representation:
- Ensure adherence to company policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Represent the company professionally in all engagements, meetings, and events.
- Uphold brand image and promote the company’s mission of safe, trusted, and accessible medicines
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales, with at least 2 years in a managerial capacity.
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities.
- Good knowledge of regional pharmaceutical markets, distribution channels, and healthcare dynamics.
- Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Must be willing to travel extensively within the region.
