Job Description
VIP Express Tourism Ltd is looking for a knowledgeable and hands-on IT Specialist to support our organisation's technology systems, ensure smooth daily operations and provide timely technical assistance to staff. the ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive and able to troubleshoot and resolve IT issues efficiently while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to staff across all departments (hardware, software, network, and systems).
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, printers and IT equipment.
- Monitor and maintain network systems, internet connectivity and server performance.
- Ensure data security, system backups and adherence to IT policies.
- Troubleshoot system and network problems; diagnose and resolve hardware faults.
- Manage user accounts, access permissions, and system configurations.
- Support the rollout of new applications', systems upgrades and IT projects.
- Maintain an inventory of IT assets and ensure timely maintenance or replacement.
- Liaise with external vendors and service providers when necessary.
- Document technical issues and resolutions, and provide regular IT reports.
Requirements
- OND/HND/BSc in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
- 2 - 4 years proven experience in IT support or IT administration.
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, network and operating systems.
- Experience with Windows OS, networking (LAN/WAN), routers, switches and basic server administration.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices and data protection.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication and customer service skills.
- Professional certification is an added advantage.
