Role Description

• This is a full-time on-site role for a Medical Laboratory Scientist located in Ibadan, Oyo State. The Medical Laboratory Scientist is responsible for performing diagnostic tests on patient specimens to support accurate diagnosis, treatment, and disease prevention.


• This role involves analyzing biological samples using specialized equipment, ensuring precision and reliability in test results, and maintaining compliance with laboratory protocols and safety standards. The scientist works collaboratively with healthcare professionals to deliver timely and high-quality laboratory data that informs clinical decisions.

Qualifications

• HND or BMLS / BSc in Medical Laboratory Science, Life Sciences, or related field.


• A minimum of a Second Class Upper (2:1) or Upper Credit is required.


• Valid practicing license from the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN).


• 2–5 years post-NYSC experience in a medical diagnostics laboratory.


• Experience in one or more areas (Hematology, Clinical Chemistry, Microbiology, Immunology, Molecular, Histopathology) is an advantage.


• Strong knowledge of laboratory tests, procedures, equipment handling, and analytical techniques.


• High accuracy, attention to detail, and quality-driven mindset.


• Proficiency with Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) and digital reporting tools.


• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting ability.


• Good communication and interpersonal skills.


• Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure.


• Commitment to confidentiality, ethics, and professional conduct.
