Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Design and Development: Create and develop new control systems and design new instrumentation and control systems.
- System and Component Selection: Choose and specify parts like controllers, transmitters, and sensors.
- Technical Documentation: Create schematics, diagrams, and layouts using CAD software, and write technical manuals and reports.
- Installation and Maintenance: Oversee the installation of new devices and systems, and perform routine maintenance and calibration of existing equipment.
- Troubleshooting: Analyze data and troubleshoot issues with instrumentation and control systems to resolve problems and ensure accurate measurements.
- Software and Control: Develop and implement software using tools like PLC, DCS, or SCADA systems.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure all systems comply with health, safety, and industry standards.
- Collaboration: Work with other engineering teams and contractors to integrate and supervise control systems.
Skills and Qualifications
- Educational background: Typically requires a B. Tech degree in instrumentation engineering or a related field.
- Technical skills: Proficient in using CAD software and programming languages (e.g., PLC, DCS, SCADA).
- Analytical skills: Strong critical thinking and analytical skills to interpret data and solve problems.
