Job Description
Job Purpose
- The Technical Service Maintenance Officer is responsible for the upkeep, servicing, and operational readiness of technical equipment such as generators, mechanical appliances, and facility systems.
- The role involves conducting routine inspections, diagnosing faults, performing repairs, and implementing preventive maintenance strategies to ensure equipment reliability and minimize operational downtime.
- The officer also maintains accurate service records and collaborates with relevant departments to support continuous facility operations and safety compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on generators, mechanical appliances, and other technical equipment.
- Diagnose faults and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime.
- Conduct periodic inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, service schedules, and equipment logs.
- Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns and coordinate quick resolutions.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and operational procedures.
- Collaborate with other departments to support facility operations and technical needs.
- Recommend improvements and upgrades to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 3–5 years in equipment maintenance, especially generators and mechanical systems.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Certification in equipment maintenance or safety procedures is an added advantage.
