- We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Procurement Finance Officer to support our procurement and finance operations.
Responsibilities
The Procurement Finance Officer will ensure financial accuracy, cost efficiency and verification of all procurement-related transactions. Key duties include:
- Verifying and confirming that all prices of items requested or purchased are accurate, competitive and properly approved.
- Reviewing vendor quotations, invoices, purchase orders and supporting documents for correctness and compliance with company standards.
- Ensuring cost-saving measures are incorporated into procurement activities.
- Supporting procurement processes by validating pricing, quantities and vendor details before final approval.
- Maintaining an updated database of vendor price lists and market rates.
- Identifying price discrepancies and escalating issues for prompt resolution.
- Collaborating with the Procurement and Finance teams to ensure seamless execution of purchasing activities.
- Assisting in reconciliation of procurement transactions and expenditure reports.
- Participating in vendor evaluation and maintaining proper procurement documentation.
Requirements
- HND / B.Sc. in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or any related field with minimum qualification of Upper Credit or Second Class Upper Division.
- Prior experience in procurement finance, accounts or relevant operations is an added advantage.
- Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
- Sound understanding of pricing verification and basic procurement procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic accounting tools.
- Strong communication, documentation and coordination skills.
- Ability to work with accuracy under pressure and meet deadlines.
