Job Summary




  • We are looking for a Procurement Team Lead to oversee and manage our procurement operation, ensuring the acquisition of goods and services while maintaining strong vendor relationships.

  • The Ideal candidate should be a strategic thinker with excellent leadership skills and a deep understanding of Supply chain Management, developing procurement strategies, negotiating contracts and ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.



Key  Responsibilities 




  • Team Leadership: Guide, manage, and mentor the procurement team, fostering a positive and collaborative environment.

  • Strategy Development: Develop and implement innovative procurement strategies aligned with company objectives and cost-saving goals.

  • Supplier Management: Source, evaluate, and select suppliers, negotiate contracts to secure favourable terms, and maintain strong, long-term vendor relationships.

  • Process Management: Oversee the end-to-end procurement process, including requisitions, purchasing, receiving, and invoicing.

  • Cost Control: Monitor budgets, analyse procurement expenditures, identify cost-saving opportunities, and track key performance indicators (KPIs).

  • Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, relevant laws, and regulatory requirements.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal departments to understand their procurement needs and ensure the timely delivery of goods and services.

  • Performance Improvement: Monitor supplier and team performance, identify areas for process improvement, and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity.

  • Reporting: Prepare and present reports on procurement activities, expenditures, and cost savings to management.



 Requirements /Qualifications




  • Bachelor’s and Master's degrees in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field

  • Experience in Purchasing construction and mechanical tools is an added advantage.

  • 5 + years of experience in procurement or supply chain management

  • 2 + years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role

  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

  • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suites

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

  • Knowledge of Procurement regulations and compliance standards

  • Experience with supplier relationship management.
