Job Description
The Head of Treasury is responsible for cash and liquidity management, funding, risk management related to company’s financial activities, Customer Credit Management and treasury operations and controls. She/he is responsible to assess, monitor, plan and manage the efficient utilization of cash and financial services in a manner consistent with the objectives of the Company and also take on ad-hoc function(s) clearly agreed, with the GHR and GMD.
- Understand, manage, and supervise all aspects of cash flow.
- Negotiating loan or overdraft terms with banks.
- Creating solutions to new financial challenges by applying financial/treasury knowledge.
- Liaising with bankers and maintaining positive working relationships.
- Monitor bank service fees and address quality issues.
- Conduct benchmark studies of banks and their services to evaluate whether it fits Company’s requirements.
- Evaluate alternative long-term borrowing strategies and make recommendations in accordance with the capital structure guidelines.
- Providing guidance on special financing products (e.g. Lease models, Export
- Programs) and liaising with related financial service providers.
- Forecast daily cash requirements and execute daily financing decisions.
- Direct, monitor and trade investment portfolios including Working capital, High-Yield, Escrow, and other portfolios.
- Manage long-term and short-term investment strategies.
- Determine the Company’s tax position and the applicability of taxable/non-taxable instruments.
- Assess performance benchmarks and recommend changes when warranted.
- Review and recommend changes to the investment policies based on the market conditions.
- Prepare or monitor company’s various cash flow forecasts and perform financial modelling.
- Evaluate, develop and implement cash management systems to optimize efficiencies.
- Ensuring that the company's cash flow is adequate to allow it to operate effectively.
- Forecasting cash payments and anticipating challenges arising from limited cash flow and perform financial modelling.
- Evaluate, develop and implement cash management systems to optimize efficiencies.
- Manage payments by cheques, international wire, Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT) and Automated Clearing House.
- Support and participate in Strategic Plan activities.

Professional qualifications in Accounting (ICAN, ACCA etc)
