We are seeking a Head of Tech who will be responsible for overseeing our client’s app, platform, and data infrastructure — ensuring seamless dispatch, tracking, and rider management.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the technical team (software engineers, product developers, DevOps, data analysts).
Ensure minimum 99.5% uptime for rider, client, and admin platforms.
Oversee the development, optimisation, and maintenance of mobile apps and backend systems.
Manage integrations across payments, mapping APIs, CRM/ERP tools, communication channels, and authentication services.
Design and maintain system architecture for scalability, performance, and security.
Implement DevOps processes, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and incident response frameworks.
Develop analytics dashboards for real-time operations, rider performance, customer behaviour, and financial activity.
Oversee data governance, reporting accuracy, and database management (SQL and NoSQL).
Manage third-party partnerships, outsourced engineering resources, and technology vendor relationships.
Oversee platform upgrades, feature releases, and product roadmaps.
Ensure cybersecurity compliance, secure API practices, and periodic vulnerability assessments.
Drive innovation and recommend technology solutions that enhance logistics efficiency and customer experience.
Person Specification
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related technical field.
7–10 years’ experience in technology leadership within logistics, mobility, e-commerce, or fintech environments.
Strong understanding of mobile app architecture, backend engineering, microservices, and cloud technologies.
Demonstrated experience scaling technology systems in a fast-growing or startup environment.
Proven experience managing engineering teams and delivering end-to-end product cycles.
