The CHEW will deliver essential primary healthcare services, support health promotion initiatives, and assist in providing basic medical care to individuals and families within the community.
Key Responsibilities
Check and record vital signs — weight, height, temperature, blood pressure, respiration rate
Support patients in adhering to treatment plans
Assist Nursing Officers in delivering basic medical and preventive care
Provide support for nutrition, mental health, prenatal care, and general well-being
Deliver high-quality health education to clients
Ensure strict compliance with clinical governance in Radiology
Serve as a patient chaperone to various consulting rooms
Record patient information in computerized logs
Document all Radiology activities accurately and promptly
Qualifications & Skills
Diploma in Community Health from a recognized institution
Valid CHEW license from the Community Health Practitioners Registration Board of Nigeria
Minimum of 1 year experience in a primary healthcare or community setting
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Knowledge of public health practices and protocols
Compassionate, patient-centered, and culturally sensitive
Proficient in basic medical procedures and healthcare tools
