Job Description
Role Summary
- Lead external communications, strengthen brand positioning, grow media presence, and manage a knowledge and practitioner community (online and offline).
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a communications strategy
- Write press releases, stories, newsletters, and donor updates
- Manage brand voice and media relationships
- Secure media features, interviews, and speaking opportunities
- Lead community engagement (events & virtual groups)
- Oversee social media, blog, and newsletter content
- Manage and mentor junior communications staff.
Key Requirements
- 5–7+ years in communications, PR, journalism, or similar
- Strong writing and storytelling skills
- Proven media relations and placement experience
- Experience building and managing communities
- Strategic, organised, and digitally savvy.
Preferred:
- Journalism or think tank background
- Community/event organising experience
- Multilingual (English + French/Yoruba/Igbo/Hausa)
- Brand development or repositioning experience.
Salary
N250,000 - N300,000 / month.
